Survivor Stories

“Someone once asked me how I hold my head up so high after all I have been through. I said it’s because no matter what, I am a survivor NOT a victim.”

Survivor Stories

For the first time in years, I can sleep well enough to have dreams. I forgot what it really felt like to feel safe.

I was so tired of being scared but now I am trying so hard to make a life for the kids and myself.

Everyone has done so much for me! I hate having to leave but it’s what is best and I can’t believe how much I have changed in the 4 weeks I have been here.   I can honestly say this has been my biggest accomplishment!

I respect you ALL!! You have helped change my life!

I am so thankful for all the donations that come in through here – like the diapers for my baby! The body wash and hygiene kit when I got here was awesome. It had everything I needed. It’s nice to have something of your own when you come through the door; so many of these girls don’t have anything when they get here.

Dinner every night, that’s so nice. I always thought dinner tastes better when someone else is cooking but it’s so nice to have dinner made and ready to eat when there is so much to do during the day!

I am so thankful for all the donations – everything is needed and appreciated.
